Everything we ship — Studio, mobile app, MCP, and this site — in order.
No fluff, no "improvements and bug fixes."
Studio
Fresh designs, ready to edit.
AI-generated designs land editable — the first page is selected on arrival, so everything drags immediately and the Text tab is active.
The backdrop from "Generate with AI" is saved to your assets — switch away and you can always bring it back.
Template detail cards now open centered on your screen, wherever you've scrolled in the gallery.
Pro checkout fixed — a stale payment-account mapping could fail every upgrade attempt with an internal error; checkout now self-heals it, and payment errors read like English instead of "INTERNAL".
Studio
Editor & export, sharpened.
Exports organize themselves — the zip now nests a folder per platform and per size (apple/iphone-6.9-1320x2868/…).
New setting: match frame to store — App Store sizes export with the iPhone frame, Google Play sizes with the Android frame, automatically.
AI backgrounds never contain a phone — generated backdrops are pure abstract art; your device mockup is composed on top.
The "Painting your background…" progress is now full-size and unmissable while art generates.
Edit history lists newest → oldest, dragging asset tiles no longer ghosts the whole panel, and the add-screenshot tool is a proper plus.
StudioWebsite
Templates, true to mobile.
All 26 templates re-synced pixel-for-pixel with the mobile app's designs — Aurora's teal ribbons, Duo Tone's diagonal, Detail's magnified band, and the rest now match exactly.
Same names, same order as the app — Spotlight, Perspective, Palette, Pixel, Zen, Flow, Panorama and friends.
Smarter backgrounds — templates that paint their own scene (Aurora, Retrowave, Memphis…) now say so, and switching to one warns before discarding your background image. Generated backdrops are saved to the project's assets.
Bold Type ships its true solid-black editorial look, and the template gallery shows full store-frame previews with varied headlines.
The site's template showcase was rebuilt to mirror the real templates — with app screens you'd actually want to download.
ShotCanvas is live on both stores — the site's App Store and Google Play badges now link straight to the listings.
Mobile app
Mobile v1.0 (233).
Extract screenshots only (Pro) — importing from an App Store listing can now use AI to pull the raw app screen out of marketing images.
Gallery cards show a sweeping "painting backdrop" animation while AI art generates, and AI-generated sets save to your Library the moment they're revealed.
App Store publishing auto-repairs mangled .p8 keys, the export progress bar actually fills, Android frame corners render clean, and exported designs can always be re-opened for editing.
StudioMCP
A more considered Studio.
AI chat is per-design — every design keeps its own conversation, and the assistant can reach all 26 templates.
MCP defaults panel — set your template mode, sizes, backdrop style, brand palette, and language once; every AI assistant follows them.
Friendly, offline-aware errors everywhere, an update banner when a new version ships, a premium empty state, and your profile photo in the top bar.
Elements can no longer be dragged off the canvas, and restored designs are immediately draggable after refresh.
Security
Locked down.
No AI keys in the browser, ever — all AI traffic routes through an authenticated, metered server-side proxy.
Export limits are enforced server-side, Firestore rules were tightened across the board, and the build fails automatically if a secret ever reaches the bundle.
Studio
Checkout, branded.
Upgrading to Pro now happens in a fully branded Stripe Elements checkout — no redirect to a generic payment page.
Pro entitlements sync accurately across Studio and mobile.
